Caldera

Apparently I've been slacking on the photos. Here's one you've been waiting for of the caldera with the crater in the background. The green in the foreground is the rain forest we hiked through to get down to the caldera floor. From there we hiked across the caldera to the crater and back.

Thank you for all the beautiful pictures, which seem to come alive together with the narratives. It truly makes us feel that we are there.

I'd be interested in viewing pictures of the coffee production, including the coffee mill, drying roof, and Micaela's bare, stinky feet trudging through the coffee beans.

That seems like a REALLY long distance to walk there and back! N'est pas?

The whole hike was only about 6-7 miles roundtrip. It just looks far from this vantage point, I think.
